Matthew's Haven

Matthew's Haven was founded in 2001, This is an interim relief assistance program, serving children in the community. Matthew’s Haven works with local agencies to ensure children have the basic necessities of daily life including food and clothing. We also provide energy and rental assistance, all types of baby items and equipment and school supplies for children.

This program receives calls daily as well as offers several programs throughout the year, including Winter Clothing Fair and Benefit, Power Pals Summer Camp, Back to School Fair in August, Pathfinding through Separation and Divorce for Adults and Children as well as Christmas sponsorship of families and foster children in New Kent. Matthew’s Haven accepts gently used children’s clothing. Maintaining the inventory of clothing is a large project and requires monthly organization and maintenance. Volunteers are needed to assist with the individual programs and to help organize the clothing closet.
